The ongoing changes in the security environment, particularly following the Russian Federation’s open military aggression against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, fundamentally alter the assumptions and requirements for ensuring the Czech Republic’s defence and its contribution to the collective defence efforts of allies within NATO and the EU.
Host Nation Support is a concept whereby a state assists allied forces operating on its territory. It is a key element of cooperation within NATO, enabling the effective deployment of troops, their logistical support, and the smooth conduct of missions.
The Centre for Security and Military-Strategic Studies of the University of Defence has prepared a workshop on the above topic, which will take place on May 20, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the University of Defence Club.
The aim of the workshop is to provide a comprehensive view of the issue of „Host Nation Support“ in the context of the tasks arising from the new NATO Strategic Concept. Principles, established practices, and experiences in this area will be particularly discussed.
The event will be conducted in English.
