A research team from the Centre has published an article titled Measuring Czech Armed Forces’ Resilience to Hybrid Interference in the prestigious international journal Journal of Contemporary European Studies, published by Taylor & Francis. The study is part of the research project Resilience of Armed Forces and Armed Security Corps towards Hybrid Threats, which explores the resilience of security forces to hybrid threats.

As part of their research, the authors conducted a questionnaire survey among five groups of members of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic. They focused on factors such as subjective optimism, patriotism, satisfaction with the military as an employer, political attitudes, morale, and team cohesion. The results show a generally high level of resilience among soldiers, which is primarily driven by personal satisfaction, pro-democratic attitudes, trust in leadership, and above all, a strong determination to defend their country regardless of current military capabilities. The findings further confirm that mere affiliation with the armed forces is a strong predictor of higher individual resilience, irrespective of age, education, or other sociodemographic variables.

The Journal of Contemporary European Studies, in which the article was published, is recognized as a respected title in the fields of political studies. In 2023, it achieved an impact factor of 1.2, a five-year impact factor of 1.5, and a Scopus CiteScore of 2.7, ranking it in the top quartile (Q1) of its category.
