A panel discussion on the topic of „Current political-security situation in the Middle East“ was organised by the Centre for Security and Military-Strategic Studies (CSMSS) on Thursday 25 January 2024 at 4 PM at the premises of the Club of the University of Defence. It was attended by 30 people in-person and 58 online.

The guests, associate professor Marek Čejka and Dr Josef Kraus, outlined the context of the ongoing military conflict between Israel and Hamas and answered questions from the panel discussion participants. The discussion was moderated by Vladimír Bízik, a CSMSS research fellow.

The discussion touched on several key topics, including the internal political situation in Israel, the impact of the conflict on regional geopolitics, changes in relations between different states and groups in the Middle East, and the dynamics between Sunni and Shiite groups. This event provided a deep insight into the complex and interconnected nature of the regional conflicts and political relations in the area.
